Forgot to post about last night's dinner in all the election excitement. Russ and I went to a Hawaiian/Korean fusion restaurant that we heard from our bank of america customer rep participates in SC's taco tuesday specials. So they did - and we got to gorge on $3 and $4 tacos! Followed by an amazing dessert nachos plate - some sort of cinammon flavored soft nachos, churro style - topped with whipped cream, strawberries and chocolate. The place was packed and there were TV's, but all they showed was old surfing footage! Oh these SC laid back non-political types... It was sort of nice not having to listen to all the punditry leading up to the final result.
Four more beers! And years!

ReplyDeleteYeah, two of those three tacos pictured were fishy. One was actually a fish taco, the other coconut shrimp (does shrimp count as a fish taco?). The third taco was kalbi (Korean bbq beef short rib). The non-shrimp fish one was an ahi "poke", which means raw salad in Hawaiian food. It was REALLY good. But - the kalbi was probably my favorite because I love love the flavor of Korean BBQ sauce.
